Description |
Argus also manufactured a version of the Model E for Montgomery Ward. The camera was badged as the Wardflex. It used 120 roll film and was identical to the Argoflex except that the taking lens was a 75mm f:6.3 anastigmat and the viewing lens was a 75mm f:4.5 anastigmat. The shutter had four speeds, 1/25 to 1/150 second, plus B and T. The Wardflex, Argoflex E, and Voighlander non-focusing Brilliant were all featured on the same page in a 1941 Montgomery Ward Photographic and Optical Good Catalog. The Argoflex E sold for $35 while the Wardflex sold for $16.95. The non-focusing Brilliant was priced at $19.95 while a Focusing Brilliant was sold at $55. Black rectangular Wardflex camera. Twin lenses on front, with trigger along bottom lens. Top front has Wardflex lable. Both sides have knobs. Back has Wardflex label. Viewfinder comes up from top, with 4 sides extended up, looking down into glass. |
