In 1954, Argus replaced the Argoflex / Argus 40 with the Argus Super Seventy-Five, which was simplified and less expensive. It was sold for $22.50. A kit, including a camera, case, flashgun and guard, color film, and batteries, sold for $32.95. The lens is a 65mm f:8 that focuses by turning the outer lens ring. It features a Waterhouse stop that could be set at f:8, f:11, or f:16 using a lever underneath the lens. Winding the film cocks the shutter. A red flag signal is available in the taking lens. The neck strap was molded into the camera body. |
